Introduction

My name is Emma and I would like to welcome you to Together Birthing. As a certified hypnobirthing practitioner in West London, I have the immense pleasure of teaching expectant couples the wonders of hypnobirthing. Having given birth myself using hypnobirthing techniques, I find it my mission to raise awareness of positive, calm birthing. I believe every couple should have the knowledge and benefits of hypnobirthing so that they too can feel confident and at ease about their upcoming birth.

With my online hypnobirthing classes, I love to help mums-to-be and their birth partners prepare for a smooth, calm labour and more comfortable birth, whilst remaining completely in control and fully aware during the birthing process. I completed my training at the Hypnobirthing Institute in 2014 and underwent additional training with the Hypnobirthing Training Academy in 2016. The course that I teach comprises 4 x 2 hour weekly live online interactive classes and includes a course companion book and 9 relaxation downloads.

    There are many factors that can affect birth. In rare instances, medical intervention might be required for the safety of the mother and baby. For s successful hypnobirthing experience, mum and her birthing companion must prepare according to the course material.   

     

    According to findings by the Hypnobirthing Institute, around 65%-70% of hypnobirthing mums do not need any form of pain relief. A further 20%-25% only require something mild, like gas and air. The remaining 5%-10% usually experience ‘special circumstances’, where medical intervention is required. 

     

     

    Over a 2 year period, I researched mums that I had taught and found that 69% of women did not need any form of pain relief during labour. In the rare events when medical intervention was required, birthing mums said that the hypnobirthing classes helped them remain calm and positive. You can find out about individual birthing experiences on my blog.

    Mothers who opt to give birth without an epidural deliver their babies faster, heal quicker and are able to regain movement within hours. During the birthing process, having full control over your body is much more beneficial, especially if your baby is in a difficult position. 

    The most optimal time to start the 4-week hypnobirthing course in West London is between the 20th and 30th week of your pregnancy. If you are past week 30 weeks, please still get in touch and I will work around fitting you in. I have taught plenty of couples from 36 weeks.

    Practising at home is important. Self-hypnosis and deep relaxation are acquired skills and must be practised at home to gain as much experience as possible. During the four-week course, you and your birthing companion will learn how to fully prepare for the birth. It will take some practice to learn how to trust your body, and become confident and relaxed. 

    Hypnobirthing is suitable for everyone. The goal is to make mum-to-be and her partner feel ready, confident and relaxed in order to have the most amazing birthing experience. 

     

    Even if this is not your first pregnancy and you already have experience giving birth to a newborn, this course will help you gain an insight into a completely different approach to childbirth. Online hypnobirthing classes are also very beneficial for mums who have had C-section previously and wish to have a vaginal birth (VBAC) with this pregnancy. This course will help them relax and get rid of the accumulated anxieties. 

     

     

    Hypnobirthing course can be completed by mums who wish to have both home or hospital birth.

    Hypnosis is a state of mind when the brain stays aware, but relaxed. Self-hypnosis is an acquired skill and can be learned very easily during the online hypnobirthing course in West London.

     

     

    Hypnosis is a state of mind when the person feels completely at ease, relaxed while fully aware of the situation. Self-hypnosis can be achieved by anyone, and it only requires some guidance about how to find that state within yourself. Self-hypnosis and relaxation is useful not only during birth but for everyday life as well. 

    Hypnobirthing is essentially a stress-free way of giving birth and is very beneficial for your baby, as well as for yourself. Your baby feels the same as you feel. Hypnobirthing offers relaxation and stress release which is beneficial for your baby in the womb. Endorphins are released during birth when the body of the mother is relaxed and she feels calm and happy. They are found in the placenta and umbilical cord directly connecting with the baby and according to research are better for breastfeeding behaviours in newborns.
