My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Emma to prepare for the birth of our first baby. Emma’s classes were both informative and relaxing and we both feel so prepared for a peaceful, natural birth at home, thanks to our HyponoBirthing practice. If you’re interested in HypnoBirthing, I would highly recommend working with Emma.
Emily, Berkhamsted
I couldn’t thank Emma enough for teaching me and my husband the art of Hypnobirthing. Even though I ended up being induced I still used the the Hypnobirthing method and had an incredible natural birth. I couldn’t recommend Emma enough, thank you!

Emma has a warm and intuitive teaching style. She guided me through my pregnancy and helped me overcome my birthing fears and have the most empowering and rewarding birthing experience. I actually enjoyed it. For that I am hugely thankful.

The environment was positive and welcoming. The hypnobirthing course was informative, educational and provided us with the tools to have at the birth. I feel more knowledgeable and confident and my partner is now more involved in the process. We feel excited for the birth

I just want to say a massive thank you, the hypnobirthing skills you taught us on the course were invaluable during the birth. It gave us so much confidence, the whole experience was calm, anxiety free and positive.
Jessica, Leighton Buzzard
The course was really informative and I learnt so much about birth that I never knew. It was lovely to discuss concerns and other ideas for birth with other couples. I feel a lot calmer and positive about giving birth and more confident that I can handle whatever happens during our birthing experience. I have enjoyed the relaxations so much. I am glad I have plenty of them to listen to before our birthing day.
Amelia, Leighton Buzzard
I did not have any type of pain relief at all and the sensations I had were completely bearable. Iain was also really great, he stayed in control and calm, did the soft touch massage and was generally very soothing. I put my amazing birth experience down to the hypnobirthing lessons and doing the relaxations and birthing affirmations (almost) daily, so thank you for teaching Iain and I the skills we needed to make that happen.
Penny, Rickmansworth
Just to say many thanks. Had it not been for hypnobirthing, I would have not survived! Our baby Eden was born 23rd December and using the hypnobirthing tools saved me! I got to full dilation within 3 hours of the first sign of labour and the breathing literally took the pain away like an anaesthetic would, I was surprised how powerful it was. I cannot emphasise enough the empowerment, confidence, vital knowledge and coping tools that I gained from hypnobirthing. I rarely recommend courses but this is a must for every woman. To be candid I would advise this course is taught to every mother-to-be as standard, simply to equip women with the physical, emotional/mental skills & techniques required to undergo the powerful experience of childbirth; and to access the inner strength required for such a feat!

Hypnobirthing is a whole new world of relaxation for expecting mothers. You can read all about how it works on our ‘What is Hypnobirthing’ page.
With hypnobirthing, it’s primarily about how much effort and practice you put into perfecting the techniques and methods taught throughout the course. The Hypnobirthing Institute research says that about 65%-70% of mums who give birth through the hypnobirthing process do not need medical pain relief. Furthermore, 20%-25% out of the remaining require only mild forms of pain relief such as air or gas. The last 5%-10% fall under the ‘special circumstances’ category where medical intervention is the last resort. Even in these special cases, mums have acknowledged the calming effects of hypnobirthing techniques. In fact, you can read all about birth experiences on my blog.
Mums who have an epidural often have difficulty moving around and changing birthing positions. Studies show that having an epidural can actually prolong the labour and birthing process; thus increasing the probability of external intervention procedures including vacuum extraction and forceps delivery.
I do understand that medical intervention is sometimes the only option. However, it should be noted that whatever the mother ingests affects the baby as well. Mums have often mentioned that they experienced faster, less-complicated recovery after a drug-free birth.
You should begin the 4-week course before your 30th week of pregnancy and after your 20-week scan. If you are a few weeks later than this, you can still join us. So, be sure to get in touch. I have taught plenty of couples from 36 weeks.
Just as with any other skill, the more you practice hypnobirthing techniques, the better you’ll be in a shorter amount of time. Deep relaxation techniques and self-hypnosis work best when you do the necessary practice to back them up. My online hypnobirthing classes are spread out over 4 weeks, giving you enough time to practise between classes as well.
The best aspect of hypnobirthing is that anyone can benefit from it. It doesn’t matter what your circumstances are, it will provide you with ease and comfort to help you birth your baby. If you’re a first-time mother, hypnobirthing will help you get rid of your fears regarding what’s to come. If you’re a second-time mother, hypnobirthing will allow you to view childbirth in a whole new light. It will provide you with a more pleasant, alternative approach to giving birth. If you’ve had your first child via C-Section, hypnobirthing can help you give birth vaginally. Rest assured; the techniques involved will prove beneficial regardless of who you are or where you choose to give birth.
It is important to establish that hypnosis is nothing more than allowing yourself to enter into a state of relaxation. You won’t feel like you’re under a trance; you’ll be fully in control of your surroundings. Self-hypnosis is an acquired skill that you can learn and perfect over time. You can easily work on it during the 4-week online hypnobirthing course.
Also, it should be noted that there is a lot more to these online hypnobirthing classes than just self-hypnosis. You’ll acquire a whole new philosophy and approach to childbirth. You’ll also learn a lot of helpful relaxation techniques that will always stay with you in your daily life.
Hypnobirthing is the right approach for not only you but also for your baby. By increasing the chances of a natural, drug-free delivery, the hypnobirthing techniques will ensure the best outcome for your baby’s health. You should know that whatever you feel during pregnancy, your baby feels as well. When you’re calm and relaxed, your body releases endorphins which can be found within the umbilical cord as well as the placenta. This might improve the chances of helping your baby adjust to life outside the womb after birth. Moreover, research suggests that babies born naturally are much more alert and show enhanced interest in sucking and other breastfeeding behaviours.

They are not as effective as following an actual live interactive course. My courses not only ensure that you learn important techniques for birth, but also cater to your individual needs as well.
No matter where you are located, as long as you have a good internet connection, you take one of our classes in the comfort of your own home.
