Hypnobirthing Northwood

To all Northwood mums-to-be, I’m delighted to announce that online hypnobirthing classes are now available in your area. At Hypnobirthing Northwood, I offer live and interactive hypnobirthing courses via Zoom, that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. You have the option to either attend a course in private or as a group. The 4-week online hypnobirthing course starts at £149, for 8 hours of live classes, including a course companion book and 9 relaxation downloads.

Introduction

Welcome to Together Birthing and congratulations on your pregnancy. My name is Emma. I am a hypnobirthing mum and practitioner with a passion for what I teach. Having experienced hypnobirthing myself with the birth of my second son, I know first hand just what a huge difference hypnobirthing can make to labour and birth.

My live interactive classes (4 x 2 hour weekly classes) are done via Zoom, either as a small group on Wednesday evenings 7.00 - 9.00 pm or as a private course at times convenient for you.

The hypnobirthing course fully prepares you and your birth companion for the birth of your baby and includes 9 relaxation downloads and a course companion book.

I qualified as a hypnobirthing practitioner with the Hypnobirthing Institute in 2014 and then furthered my training with the Hypnobirthing Training Academy by Jenny Mullan in 2016. Since then, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of couple to fully prepare for a more positive, calmer, easier birth.

    FAQs

You can check out all the facts and information about hypnobirthing on the  ‘What is Hypnobirthing’ page, on our website.

Pain-free labour is possible with hypnobirthing for some women. As a guide, 69% of women I taught over a 2 year period, reported that they needed no pain medication during labour. You can read about first-hand experiences here on my blog

Any drugs that you administer to your body can affect your baby directly. Hypnobirthing is the best chance of you having a natural birth, leading to a faster recovery. Epidurals can prolong labour and prevent mothers from moving freely during labour and birth. In addition to this, they can lead to further medical intervention.

For best results, you should join the class between your 20th and 30th week of pregnancy. Please do still get in touch if you are later than 30 weeks as there is still time, especially if you are 36 weeks or under.

You will need sufficient practice of the techniques at home during and after the course. The 4- week course is designed to give you enough practice at home to get the skill right.

Any woman looking to have a positive birthing experience can sign up: first time mums or those of subsequent pregnancies; home births, hospital births or birth centres births.

Self-hypnosis works for anyone. It is simple to learn. As you go through my course, the practice sessions enable you to improve how you perform it each time. Even after your birth, you can use all the relaxation techniques to help you manage stressful situations.

Yes. Hypnobirthing mothers release endorphins which relax the body as they enter a state of deep relaxation. These hormones directly reach your baby in the womb and offer the same calming effect as you feel.

Yes. I recommend a minimum speed of 2MBps for the live classes. You can test your connection by using the free tool here: http://www.speedtest.net.

The best way to take a hypnobirthing course is live online with an instructor. You have a better opportunity to ask questions and learn the techniques.
