Kent is a charming place to raise a child, with lots of local amenities and many other young families to connect with.
My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Emma to prepare for the birth of our first baby. Emma’s classes were both informative and relaxing and we both feel so prepared for a peaceful, natural birth at home, thanks to our HyponoBirthing practice. If you’re interested in HypnoBirthing, I would highly recommend working with Emma.

I couldn’t thank Emma enough for teaching me and my husband the art of Hypnobirthing. Even though I ended up being induced I still used the the Hypnobirthing method and had an incredible natural birth. I couldn’t recommend Emma enough, thank you!

Emma has a warm and intuitive teaching style. She guided me through my pregnancy and helped me overcome my birthing fears and have the most empowering and rewarding birthing experience. I actually enjoyed it. For that I am hugely thankful.

The environment was positive and welcoming. The hypnobirthing course was informative, educational and provided us with the tools to have at the birth. I feel more knowledgeable and confident and my partner is now more involved in the process. We feel excited for the birth

I just want to say a massive thank you, the hypnobirthing skills you taught us on the course were invaluable during the birth. It gave us so much confidence, the whole experience was calm, anxiety free and positive.

The course was really informative and I learnt so much about birth that I never knew. It was lovely to discuss concerns and other ideas for birth with other couples. I feel a lot calmer and positive about giving birth and more confident that I can handle whatever happens during our birthing experience. I have enjoyed the relaxations so much. I am glad I have plenty of them to listen to before our birthing day.
Amelia, Leighton Buzzard
I did not have any type of pain relief at all and the sensations I had were completely bearable. Iain was also really great, he stayed in control and calm, did the soft touch massage and was generally very soothing. I put my amazing birth experience down to the hypnobirthing lessons and doing the relaxations and birthing affirmations (almost) daily, so thank you for teaching Iain and I the skills we needed to make that happen.
Penny, Rickmansworth
Just to say many thanks. Had it not been for hypnobirthing, I would have not survived! Our baby Eden was born 23rd December and using the hypnobirthing tools saved me! I got to full dilation within 3 hours of the first sign of labour and the breathing literally took the pain away like an anaesthetic would, I was surprised how powerful it was. I cannot emphasise enough the empowerment, confidence, vital knowledge and coping tools that I gained from hypnobirthing. I rarely recommend courses but this is a must for every woman. To be candid I would advise this course is taught to every mother-to-be as standard, simply to equip women with the physical, emotional/mental skills & techniques required to undergo the powerful experience of childbirth; and to access the inner strength required for such a feat!

For a successful hypnobirthing experience, mum and her birthing companion must prepare according to the course material. Pain-free labour is possible with hypnobirthing but cannot be guaranteed. According to findings published by the Hypnobirthing Institute, around 65%-70% of hypnobirthing mums do not need any form of pain relief. A further 20%-25% only require something mild, like gas and air. The remaining 5%-10% usually experience ‘special circumstances’, where medical intervention is required.
In terms of my own study over a 2 year period, 69% of women I taught did not need any form of pain relief during labour. For the rare events when medical intervention was required, birthing mums said that the hypnobirthing classes still really helped them remain calm and positive. You can find out about individual birthing experiences on my blog.
Mothers who opt to give birth without an epidural deliver their babies faster, heal quicker and are able to regain movement within hours. During the birthing process, having full control over your body is important, especially if the baby is in a difficult position. It is also known that any drugs you ingest will be passed on to your baby so a drug-free birth is better for your baby also.
The most optimal time to start the 4-week Hypnobirthing course in Kent is between the 20th and 30th week of your pregnancy. If you are past week 30, please still get in touch as there is still time. I have taught plenty of couples from 36 weeks.
Practising at home is needed, yes. Self-hypnosis and deep relaxation are acquired skills and must be practised at home to gain as much experience as possible. During the four-week course, you and your birthing companion will learn how to fully prepare for the birth. It will take some practice to learn how to trust your body, and become confident and relaxed.
Hypnobirthing is suitable for everyone. The goal is to make mum-to-be and her partner feel ready, confident and relaxed in order to have the most amazing birthing experience. Even if this is not your first pregnancy and you already have experience giving birth to a newborn, this course will help you gain an insight into a completely different approach to childbirth.
Online Hypnobirthing classes are also very beneficial for mums who have had C-section previously and wish to have a vaginal birth (VBAC) with this pregnancy. This course will help them relax and chase away the accumulated anxieties. Hypnobirthing course can be completed by mums who wish to have both home or hospital birth.
Hypnosis is a state of mind when the person feels relaxed and completely at ease, whilst aware. Self-hypnosis is an acquired skill and can be learned during the online hypnobirthing course in Kent. Self-hypnosis can be achieved by anyone as its simple to learn and can be mastered easily.
It is useful not only during birth but also in every day life, to de-stress.
Hypnobirthing is essentially a stress-free way of giving birth and is very beneficial for your baby, just as well as for yourself. Your baby feels the same as you feel. The course offers relaxation and stress release which is beneficial for your baby in the womb. Endorphins are released during birth when the body of the mother is relaxed and she feels calm and happy. They are found in the placenta and umbilical cord directly connecting with the baby and are responsible for better breastfeeding behaviour in newborns.
To keep track of the live online classes you should have a minimum upload speed of 2Mbps. You can run a test on your computer to check your upload speed with this tool http://www.speedtest.net.
The best way to take a hypnobirthing course is online with an instructor. You have a better opportunity to ask questions and learn the techniques.
No matter where you are located, as long as you have a good internet connection, you take one of our classes in the comfort of your own home.
