Here are some of the benefits as recounted by those who have gone through it, myself included.
My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Emma to prepare for the birth of our first baby. Emma’s classes were both informative and relaxing and we both feel so prepared for a peaceful, natural birth at home, thanks to our HyponoBirthing practice. If you’re interested in HypnoBirthing, I would highly recommend working with Emma.
Emily, Berkhamsted
I couldn’t thank Emma enough for teaching me and my husband the art of Hypnobirthing. Even though I ended up being induced I still used the the Hypnobirthing method and had an incredible natural birth. I couldn’t recommend Emma enough, thank you!
Louise, Tring
Emma has a warm and intuitive teaching style. She guided me through my pregnancy and helped me overcome my birthing fears and have the most empowering and rewarding birthing experience. I actually enjoyed it. For that I am hugely thankful.
Sarah, Berkhamsted
The environment was positive and welcoming. The hypnobirthing course was informative, educational and provided us with the tools to have at the birth. I feel more knowledgeable and confident and my partner is now more involved in the process. We feel excited for the birth
Clare, Watford
I just want to say a massive thank you, the hypnobirthing skills you taught us on the course were invaluable during the birth. It gave us so much confidence, the whole experience was calm, anxiety free and positive.
Jessica, Leighton Buzzard
The course was really informative and I learnt so much about birth that I never knew. It was lovely to discuss concerns and other ideas for birth with other couples. I feel a lot calmer and positive about giving birth and more confident that I can handle whatever happens during our birthing experience. I have enjoyed the relaxations so much. I am glad I have plenty of them to listen to before our birthing day.
Amelia, Leighton Buzzard
I did not have any type of pain relief at all and the sensations I had were completely bearable. Iain was also really great, he stayed in control and calm, did the soft touch massage and was generally very soothing. I put my amazing birth experience down to the hypnobirthing lessons and doing the relaxations and birthing affirmations (almost) daily, so thank you for teaching Iain and I the skills we needed to make that happen.
Penny, Rickmansworth
Just to say many thanks. Had it not been for hypnobirthing, I would have not survived! Our baby Eden was born 23rd December and using the hypnobirthing tools saved me! I got to full dilation within 3 hours of the first sign of labour and the breathing literally took the pain away like an anaesthetic would, I was surprised how powerful it was. I cannot emphasise enough the empowerment, confidence, vital knowledge and coping tools that I gained from hypnobirthing. I rarely recommend courses but this is a must for every woman. To be candid I would advise this course is taught to every mother-to-be as standard, simply to equip women with the physical, emotional/mental skills & techniques required to undergo the powerful experience of childbirth; and to access the inner strength required for such a feat!

All skills require sufficient practice before executing them effectively, and the same applies to hypnobirthing. To successfully achieve a state of deep relaxation, you will need to put in the work on your self-hypnosis and emotional release skills.
69% of the mothers that took my course over a 2 year period, did not require any pain relief during labour. You can read about their birthing experiences on my blog. The Hypnobirthing Institute reports that 65%-70% of hypnobirthing mums do not require any pain relief. A further 20%-25% only need mild relief. According to the World Health Organization, only about 5%-10% of mothers require medical intervention, and this is due to special circumstances. Even then, mothers report that the techniques they learned from hypnobirthing really helped them to get through the procedures.
Studies show that mums who deliver drug-free recover faster and easier. They further state that an epidural prolongs the birthing time and increases the chances of other interventions such as forceps and vacuum extraction.
Online hypnobirthing classes are best between the 20th and 30th week of pregnancy. If you are past this window, reach out to us at Hypnobirthing Dublin and we will try and find a course for you. I have taught plenty of couples from 36 weeks.
Practice is crucial if you want to achieve maximum success with hypnobirthing. I will be available to answer any queries that you may have during or after the course.
Any mum-to-be seeking to feel more prepared and confident about childbirth is suited for hypnobirthing.
Hypnosis is more about achieving a state of relaxation. It is simple to learn and easy to do. You are still able to respond to your environment and react accordingly. The techniques we teach at Hypnobirthing classes in Dublin will also help you relax in times of stress.
What you feel emotion, your baby feels it as well. The more relaxed you are, the more relaxed your baby is. Studies show that babies who are delivered naturally are more alert and show more interest in breastfeeding behaviours, including sucking and massaging the mother’s breasts.
The recommended speed for our live classes is anything above 2Mbps. You can use this tool to check the speed of your internet connection http://www.speedtest.net.
To fully benefit from hypnobirthing, you should really have an instructor showing you and helping you with the techniques. You can ask questions and consult further, even after you complete the course.
No matter where you are located, as long as you have a good internet connection, you take one of our classes in the comfort of your own home.
