My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Emma to prepare for the birth of our first baby. Emma’s classes were both informative and relaxing and we both feel so prepared for a peaceful, natural birth at home, thanks to our HyponoBirthing practice. If you’re interested in HypnoBirthing, I would highly recommend working with Emma.
Emily, Berkhamsted
I couldn’t thank Emma enough for teaching me and my husband the art of Hypnobirthing. Even though I ended up being induced I still used the the Hypnobirthing method and had an incredible natural birth. I couldn’t recommend Emma enough, thank you!

Emma has a warm and intuitive teaching style. She guided me through my pregnancy and helped me overcome my birthing fears and have the most empowering and rewarding birthing experience. I actually enjoyed it. For that I am hugely thankful.

The environment was positive and welcoming. The hypnobirthing course was informative, educational and provided us with the tools to have at the birth. I feel more knowledgeable and confident and my partner is now more involved in the process. We feel excited for the birth

I just want to say a massive thank you, the hypnobirthing skills you taught us on the course were invaluable during the birth. It gave us so much confidence, the whole experience was calm, anxiety free and positive.
Jessica, Leighton Buzzard
The course was really informative and I learnt so much about birth that I never knew. It was lovely to discuss concerns and other ideas for birth with other couples. I feel a lot calmer and positive about giving birth and more confident that I can handle whatever happens during our birthing experience. I have enjoyed the relaxations so much. I am glad I have plenty of them to listen to before our birthing day.
Amelia, Leighton Buzzard
I did not have any type of pain relief at all and the sensations I had were completely bearable. Iain was also really great, he stayed in control and calm, did the soft touch massage and was generally very soothing. I put my amazing birth experience down to the hypnobirthing lessons and doing the relaxations and birthing affirmations (almost) daily, so thank you for teaching Iain and I the skills we needed to make that happen.
Penny, Rickmansworth
Just to say many thanks. Had it not been for hypnobirthing, I would have not survived! Our baby Eden was born 23rd December and using the hypnobirthing tools saved me! I got to full dilation within 3 hours of the first sign of labour and the breathing literally took the pain away like an anaesthetic would, I was surprised how powerful it was. I cannot emphasise enough the empowerment, confidence, vital knowledge and coping tools that I gained from hypnobirthing. I rarely recommend courses but this is a must for every woman. To be candid I would advise this course is taught to every mother-to-be as standard, simply to equip women with the physical, emotional/mental skills & techniques required to undergo the powerful experience of childbirth; and to access the inner strength required for such a feat!

Hypnobirthing is a skill, therefore it requires training and practice to get the most out of it during the course. Pain free labour and birth is possible with hypnobirthing.
The Hypnobirthing Institute has discovered that approximately 65%-70% of hypnobirthing mothers do not need any type of pain relief. 69% of ladies I instructed over a two year period, didn’t require any type of pain relief during labour either. As indicated by the Hypnobirthing Institute, a further 20%-25% just required something gentle, such as gas and air. The remaining 5%-10% experience ‘special circumstances’, where clinical medication is needed.
The hypnobirthing mothers I trained who experienced ‘special circumstances’ revealed to me that hypnobirthing still truly helped with their birth and made it as calm and positive as possible. The point of hypnobirthing is to assist you having a positive birthing experience, so regardless of the conditions, it will help you remain calm and in control.
Mums who don’t have an epidural can move around easily. Studies prove that an epidural drags out the birthing time and increases the odds of different medical interventions. Even though using pain-relief drugs is at times needed, people ought to know that any medications the mother’s body ingests can affect their baby too. Hypnobirthing gives you the best opportunity of having a drug free birth by decreasing the requirement for pain relief. A drug-free birthing experience is helpful for both mother and infant.
The ideal opportunity to begin the 4-week course is between the 20th and 30th week of your pregnancy. However, you can always contact us after 30 weeks and we will try to fit you on a course.
Yes. In hypnobirthing, there are skills which are best when they have been acquired with adequate practice time between classes for success. The 4-week course empowers you and your birth companion to feel completely ready.
Hypnobirthing is for anybody who needs to feel increasingly prepared and confident about birth. First-time mums can use hypnobirthing to relax properly and learn about childbirth, while mums who are on their second or subsequent pregnancies may need another way to cope with labour, having had a troublesome previous childbirth. Additionally, mums who wish to have a vaginal birth after a caesarean (VBAC) frequently find that hypnobirthing assists with resolving any fears they may have.
There is nothing unusual about hypnosis – it just helps you to relax. You are still completely mindful of what is happening around you. Self-hypnosis is a simple skill that can be learned and improved all through the length of the course.
The hypnobirthing course includes substantially more than just learning self-hypnosis; it is an entire way of thinking and way to deal with pregnancy and labour. Moreover, after birth, the various methods can be extremely valuable for helping you to unwind in your daily life.
Hypnobirthing is totally safe for your baby. Your baby feels precisely what you feel, so whenever you feel calm, your baby will appreciate similarly peaceful sensations.
Studies have demonstrated that infants of mums who have had a natural delivery, are increasingly ready and show more enthusiasm for breastfeeding practices. Not only that, but endorphins have been found in the placenta and umbilical cord, which shows that these calm-inducing hormones help to relax your baby, too.
For the live online classes you will preferably need a minimum upload speed of 2Mbps.
The best way to take a hypnobirthing course is online with an instructor. You have a better opportunity to ask questions and learn the techniques.
No matter where you are located, as long as you have a good internet connection, you take one of our classes in the comfort of your own home.
