Introduction

Welcome to Together Birthing and congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m Emma, and I’m a hypnobirthing mum and practitioner offering online hypnobirthing courses. I trained with the Hypnobirthing Institute in 2014 and then with the Hypnobirthing Training Academy in 2016. The course that I teach consists of 4 x 2 hour weekly online classes.

Having experienced hypnobirthing myself, I know just what a huge difference it can make and I am passionate about what I teach. My classes are interactive and insightful, fully preparing mums and dads-to-be with the knowledge, tools and techniques that they need for a more confident, calmer and easier birth experience. You can enjoy the benefit of 9 relaxation downloads and a course companion book which will be sent to you when you book.

    Birth choices in Amersham

The tools that you learn with Hypnobirthing can really help give you the confidence to have a home birth. If you prefer to (or are advised to for medical reasons) give birth in hospital, Amersham is located about 20 minutes’ drive from Stoke Mandeville hospital. In addition to the labour ward, there is a birth centre attached to the hospital which women can opt for if there are no special circumstances. There is also a stand-alone birth centre in High Wycombe which is more of a home from home environment and is not as busy as the hospital. You can contact the hospital and birth centre to book a tour. Click on the link below for more information:

    FAQs

Read more about hypnobirthing on our ‘What is Hypnobirthing’ page, available on the website.

A completely pain free birth is possible with hypnobirthing, however it cannot be guaranteed. Having said this, I did some research into my classes and found that 70% of the women who took my classes reported that they did not require any other form of pain relief. You can read about their experiences on my blog.

Any drugs that you use during the birthing process will be passed on to your baby. Hypnobirthing equips you with the necessary skills and techniques to facilitate a natural birth. Going drug-free reduces the risk of drugs being passed to your baby. Furthermore, the use of epidurals prolongs your birthing time, and also your recovery period.

The best time to sign up for Hypnobirthing Classes Amersham is between your 20th and 30th week of pregnancy. Should you be past 30 weeks, you can still reach out to me at Hypnobirthing Amersham and I will find the right course for you.

As with any skill, deep relaxation and hypnosis require sufficient practice to execute them effectively. The 4-week course enables you and your birth companion to feel fully prepared and relaxed as you approach your due date.

Any woman who is looking to feel more prepared and confident about birth is eligible. I teach first-time mothers as well second or third time mums and those who want to have a vaginal birth after caesarean.

When using hypnosis, you are in a deep state of relaxation. You are still fully aware of what is happening around you and can come out of it at anytime. Anyone can use hypnosis – it is simple and easy to learn.

Your baby feels what you feel. By employing the deep relaxation techniques, your brain releases endorphins that calm your body. The same hormone passes to your baby, allowing for a more natural and pleasurable journey out of the womb. According to research, babies born naturally show more interest in breastfeeding behaviours and are more alert.

You will need a minimum upload speed of 2Mbps to enjoy our online hypnobirthing classes. You can check your internet speed through this link: http://www.speedtest.net.

They may be a cheaper alternative to the live online course, but you will miss out on the vital information that we give during the live online sessions with regards to the techniques and the opportunity for interactive classes with time for asking questions.
